In order to treat your dry scalp safely, try to make a good scalp care regimen and use some home based ingredients. Here are some tips on how to treat dry scalp naturally at your home.

How to treat dry scalp naturally

Yogurt – Egg for dry scalp

• Take a bowl and put 1 egg and a cup of plain yogurt.
• Apply this mixture on your scalp.
• Gently massage your scalp.
• Now, cover your head using a shower cap.
• Wait for 15 to 20 minutes before washing your head with warm water.
• Use this remedy 2 to 3 times per week.

Hot Oil to treat dry scalp

• Take a glass and pour 1/2 cup of olive or almond oil, according to the availability.
• Place the glass in hot water for 5 minutes to warm the oil
• Now, gently massage your scalp.
• Leave it on for overnight.
• Use a mild baby shampoo to wash your hair.
• Repeat this process at least once a week.

Honey – olive oil and milk

Mix ½ cup each of milk and extra virgin olive oil, add 2 teaspoons of honey. Apply it to your hair for a few hours then; just wash with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

Sesame Oil to treat dry scalp

Apply sesame oil on your scalp and give your scalp a gentle massage using circular motion. Use this remedy before going to bed at night. To make this treatment more beneficial, give your hair a hot towel treatment after its application. Take a hot water dipped towel and wrap it around your head for about 30 minutes and then shampoo as usual.

You can also use a mixture of 1 teaspoon sesame oil + 1 teaspoon and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply this to the scalp and let it dry before you shampoo your hair.

- Make your diet menu healthy by including fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds.
