Almost everyone faces dry scalp condition at some point in their life. Dry scalp condition is well known for causing itchiness, flaking of the scalp. Hot water is the common contributor for dry scalp therefore; do not use hot water on your head area. If you want to take a hot shower bath then you should use a shower cap whilst showering.
Healthy diet is essential for keeping your scalp and overall health in a healthy state. Therefore, eat healthy and live healthy. Try to avoid sugars and yeast. Sugars include the following: molasses, maltose, sorghum, glucose, sucrose, corn syrup, fructose and lactose. Try to increase your vitamin B complex intake by eating foods that are rich is B vitamins.
You can add moisture to your scalp just as you do to your face. Use jojoba oil. It is best utilized to moisturize your scalp after you shower.
Brushing is essential to remove dead skin flakes. It also helps increase the smooth flow of sebum along the hair shaft, and increase blood supply to the hair follicles. In order to avoid fungal infection from spreading, do wash your hand thoroughly after brushing and grooming. Washing your hands after brushing, massaging and grooming your hair will also help prevent re infection or cross infection.
